Liberating the Shrew is loosely adapted from Shakespeare's comedy, Taming of the Shrew, where he dove into love, identity, and status. We cross-pollinated our show with bell hooks writing, where she explores feminism as it intersects with race and class. I thank all the CTE artists involved in this process for adding their voices and for pushing me as an artist. 

We are grateful for our partnership with CTE of over three years. We are actively working together to develop a pipeline for Marin City middle school students to have opportunities to give them the necessary training, experience, and confidence to be a part of the program at Tam. We look forward to working with CTE to continue strengthening this pipeline.
