New York City Theater Immersion Trip
Summer 2024
We are excited to partner with Growth Circles and the Marin County Office of Equity to offer our first-ever student theater immersion trip to from July 16-21, 2024.
All expenses paid trip includes 2 Broadway plays, 2 Off Broadway performances, 3 college tours, and other NYC excursions. Apply here by April 26.
OUR MISSION.
The Griot Theater Company is more than a theater company. We are a collective of artists, educators, and entrepreneurs committed to exploring, embracing, and amplifying brown and black culture through the arts. We are the Griots of our time; storytellers, artists, and historians. We are responsible for salvaging our culture, which has fought to exist.
GTC is the pipeline for brown and black artists of Marin and works with artists from fifth grade to adulthood. We seek to partner with agencies and individuals to preserve our community's art, history, and other literacies. We have several Programs to sustain our pipeline and purpose.

The Griot Theater Company seeks to work with Marin City Youth to amplify and applaud their unique voices. We hope to reach each ensemble member's cultural background to recognize their cultural influences in the arts, their community, and the world. We aim to be the organization that shines a spotlight on student voices and allows them to be seen, heard, and understood.
Monthly Pledges
Your monthly pledges will support our Griot Ambassadors by allowing these high school students to receive stipends for their contributions the the company. These young people have a strong commitment and passion to the arts, education, and entrepreneurial leadership; and have been at the forefront of leading this company. Your monthly pledges will help foster and nurture our future leaders.
